About Us
FIA Asia’s mission is to be the regional thought leader, advocate and educator for centrally cleared derivatives. As the primary industry association for the Asian region, FIA Asia: - Strives to preserve the system of free and competitive markets and protect the public interest through adherence to high standards of professional conduct and financial integrity
- Engages in regulatory and legislative advocacy that is based upon comprehensive analysis, member consensus, industry best practices, and in the interest of fair and efficient capital markets
- Seeks to collaborate with regulators, legislators, and other trade associations regionally and globally to anticipate and fulfill members’ current and future needs
- Provides a forum for discussion on core issues with a goal of building consensus across industry stakeholders
- Delivers actionable solutions and technological tools to address market inefficiencies and other challenges
- Serves as a critical source of industry information through conferences, educational programs, publications, and rapid dissemination of industry news, all rich with in-depth discussion and analysis of core industry issues

FIA Asia will seek to promote the further development of Asia-Pacific derivatives exchanges through the following activities: - collect and disseminate information about exchanges, clearing organizations and regulators in the area;
- support the adoption of international standards and best practices in product design, exchange membership, clearing functions, market integrity and financial safety rules;
- work for better public understanding of the benefits of derivatives markets;
- encourage cross-border trading and improved access rights;
- present a unified industry voice to market officials;
- establish working groups to address specific industry issues; and
- promote cross-industry discussion through annual conferences and other events.
